The St. Louis County Department of Public Health and Long Term Medical Care protects and promotes the health of County residents. Public Health Nursing provides immunization clinics, prenatal and postpartum health services, communicable disease prevention and surveillance, parent and child health services, health education.
The Environmental Health staff works to assure safe water and clean indoor air, and to protect the public from disease by regulating restaurants, swimming pools, and sewage treatment systems. Public Health partners with many organizations to promote the health of county citizens. The Health Department also administers St. Louis Countys laundry and two longterm care facilities: Chris Jensen and Nopeming. |
