The mission of St. Louis County Administration is to ensure the policy direction set by the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners is implemented in an as effective and efficient manner as possible. Performance measurement and management are important tools to achieve this objective, enhancing accountability, transparency and efficiency. St. Louis County desires to communicate the results our programs and projects achieve in a meaningful manner.

       Last year, in conjunction with our 150th anniversary, St. Louis County published its first performance management report, the Sesquicentennial Evaluation Report Card.  This year, we have chosen an internet-based method to help citizens access additional information, contacts, graphs and to allow for frequent and regular updates. 

     St. Louis County Departments also completed their first Business Plans as part of the 2008 budget cycle.  The Business Plans align department programs, goals, and resources, with the priority areas established by the St. Louis County Board earlier this year, and will be updated on a regular basis.  The Business Plans are available at: www.stlouiscounty.org/budget .
