St. Louis County Celebrates 150^th Anniversary

By Rolling Out History Train!

     As part of St. Louis County’s Sesquicentennial year, the “History Train” will continue its tour of the County at Laskin Energy Center in Hoyt Lakes July 21 to 23, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Friday the 21^st, and 10:00 – 5:00 PM on the 22^nd and 23^rd.

     The “History Train” will be bringing history directly to communities this summer in a fully renovated rail car, carrying a new exhibit about St. Louis County’s rich history. 

     Upcoming locations include:    Hibbing                    August 2-6

                                                   Mountain Iron           August 10-13

                                                   Proctor                     August 17-20

     Sponsors of this exhibit include St. Louis County, The Lake Superior Railroad Museum, The St. Louis County Historical Society and its local affiliates, Canadian National Railway, SMDC, the Benedictines, and Minnesota Power, and the Depot Foundation.
