1/6/07, 0540 hours. Paged to search for suicidal male in Pequaywan area.  Subject found dead in his deerstand by deputies prior to our arrival.  Packaged, recovered, and transported to morgue.

1/14/07, Paged to search for missing snowmobiler on Lake Vermilion.  Subject found okay in remote bay, machine malfunction. 

2006 Summary

The Rescue Squad performed 82 Wilderness Operations, consisting of 48 searches (40 for humans; 8 for evidence), 30 rescues; 2 aircraft crashes and 2 rope rescue/recovery operations.  Of the 30 rescues, 15 were ATV (All Terrain Vehicle) accidents; 6 snowmobile accidents; 5 were falls; and 4 "other". We assisted 77 subjects/patients/victims in woods-related calls.
