The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office maintains three investigations divisions: in Duluth, Hibbing, and Virginia, MN.  The position of Deputy Sheriff - Investigator is a promotional position within the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office. 

Deputy Sheriff – Investigators follow up on leads, interview witnesses, victims, and suspects to build a case.  Deputy Sheriff – Investigators work on a wide variety of cases, from theft to kidnapping and murder.
