NFP improves the health and life of low income, first-time mothers and their infants through public health nurse home visits. Visits are made from the third trimester of pregnancy through the first two years of life. Significant improvements in the outcomes of pregnancy and the quality of maternal care giving have been documented.
NFP seeks to improve each mother's chance for a healthier birth, improve the baby’s health, facilitate the child's growth and development and support the mother's life and health.
