Planning, Research, & GIS
The Planning, Research, & GIS Division facilitates and coordinates the enterprise planning, development, utilization, and integration of Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and geo-spatial data across the St. Louis County enterprise system to improve department and overall county management and productivity, and facilitates and coordinates the enterprise planning, research, program development, grants, and projects related to land-use.
The division is part of the St. Louis County Planning & Development Department and focuses and/or assist the following GIS enterprise roles:
• Enterprise GIS Data Management
• Enterprise GIS Application Development & Integration
• Enterprise GIS Analysis & Mapping
• Enterprise GIS Technical Assistance
• Enterprise GIS Planning
• Enterprise GIS Web Site
• Enterprise GIS General Administration
GIS technology and geo-spatial data forms a critical foundation for a wide range of planning and decision support across St. Louis County government, our partners, businesses, non-profits, and residents.
