Physical Planning

This division is composed of the former Planning and Zoning Office and has offices in Duluth and Virginia. There are two main functions of this division: administration and enforcement of traditional land use zoning regulations and associated permitting requirements; and working with other County departments to conduct planning studies and analysis.

The goal of the Physical Planning Division is to streamline their regulatory activities to be more 'customer friendly' without sacrificing land use integrity..
