Selection process:

Candidates are ranked on an eligible register for a period of up to one year to fill any vacancies. Competitive assessments such as an experience and training rating or written examination may be used to rank candidates by score. The top seven names (open recruitment) or top three names (promotional recruitment) are certified to the interviewing authority, where interviews and final selection take place. Written exam answer sheets and other assessment materials are available for review within 60 days; the test questions are not made available to candidates for review.

Certified applicants will receive a letter containing an interviewing authority name, phone number, and e-mail address.  The applicant has 5 days in which to contact the interviewer to set up an interview appointment.  If the applicant fails to contact the interviewing authority within 5 days, the person
=s name will be removed from the eligible list.
