Welcome to St. Louis County Planning and Development.  In 1996, St. Louis County Board passed a resolution creating the department, it began operations in November of that year. It is the focal point for a broad range of activities including land use planning, zoning and land subdivision administration, community development, and most recently Geographic Information Systems (GIS) planning and development.  To fulfill its mandate, the department consists of three divisions: Community Development; Land Use; and Planning, Research & GIS.
