St. Louis County Public Health and Social Services Director Candidates

Following a comprehensive recruitment and selection process, the following applicants for St. Louis County Public Health & Social Services Director have been identified by County Administrator Dana Frey as finalists. These candidates will now be invited to participate in a series of interviews conducted by advisory committees chosen by the Administrator.

Ann Busche - Ms. Busche possess a Masters Degree in Business Administration and has been employed with St. Louis County for approximately 10 years. Her current position is Chief Deputy County Administrator, and she has held interim appointments as both County Administrator and Social Services Director in the recent past. Prior to her County employment, Ms. Busche was Director of Service Development and Support Services at the Polinsky Medical Rehabilitation Center.

Hubert Grogan - Mr. Grogan possess a Masters Degree in Social Work and has been Director of the Minnehaha County Welfare Department (Sioux Falls, SD) for over 20 years. His prior work experience also includes service as Director of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe Child Protection Program.

Kenneth Kraft - Mr. Kraft possess a Masters Degree in Counseling and Guidance and is currently a Regional Administrator for the State of Washington Department of Social and Health Services. His prior work experiences include service as Regional Director of Operations for the Professional Association of Treatment Homes in Duluth, and various therapist and clinical director positions at the Archdeacon Gilfillian Center in Bemidji, Mn.

Vicki Maher - Ms. Maher possess a Masters Degree in Management and has been employed as a Senior Manager, Administrative Assistant, Social Services Supervisor and staff Social Worker in the St. Louis County Social Services Department for approximately 29 years. She is currently the SLC Public Health and Social Services Department Interim Director.
