St. Louis County Auditor Selected

Following a comprehensive recruitment and interview process, Chair Steve Raukar announced that the St. Louis County Board of Commissioners has chosen Donald Dicklich for the St. Louis County Auditor position.

Donald Dicklich, of Saginaw, Minnesota, is presently the Director of Administrative Services for Iron Range Resources, and was formerly Chief Financial Officer for that State agency. He previously served as Assistant Administrator Support Services at SMDC in Duluth and as Chief Financial Officer at St. Mary’ s Hospital in Superior, Wisconsin, and also Midwest Diagnostics in Duluth, Minnesota. Mr. Dicklich has approximately twenty eight years of financial management experience, and has a Master of Business Administration Degree from the University of Minnesota.

The County Board voted on Tuesday, 3/16/04, to appoint Donald Dicklich to complete retired Auditor Gordon McFaul’s unexpired term of office (through 2006).

The St. Louis County Auditor is the Chief Fiscal Officer of the County, the Custodian of County funds, Chief Tax Collector for the County and its political subdivisions, Clerk of the County Board of Commissioners, Registrar of Voters, and Supervisor of Elections.
