NEWS RELEASE St. Louis County Auditor Position Open The St. Louis County Board will accept applications for County Auditor, an elected Administrative Department Head position. Due to the retirement of County Auditor Gordon McFaul on December 31, 2003, the St. Louis County Board is authorized under state statute to appoint an individual to complete the unexpired term of office (through 2006). The St. Louis County Auditor is the Chief fiscal officer of the County, the Custodian of County funds, Chief tax collector for the County and its political subdivisions, Clerk of the County Board of Commissioners, Registrar of voters, and Supervisor of elections.
